Sherraine Miller, MA, ATR-P
Clinical Fellow

Life is a masterpiece in the making, filled with intricate brushstrokes and vibrant colors and because of this, I am deeply grateful for the potential to join you on your path towards wellness. As an art therapist, with specialized training in sex therapy, I am uniquely qualified to walk alongside you as you navigate life's complexities and transformations. Just as each painting is unique, so is your journey. Whether you're grappling with emotions, relationships, or life transitions, I offer a safe and compassionate space where we can explore, heal, and grow together. Today marks the beginning of your self-discovery journey, and I'm here to create a nurturing environment where you can discover and grow with support.

My approach to therapy is grounded in authenticity, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. I believe in meeting you where you are and collaborating to create a personalized roadmap for your healing journey. Drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Adlerian, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-centered, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness, and a plethora of Art Therapy techniques, I tailor our sessions to your individual needs and goals.

As a passionate advocate for maternal mental health and the well-being of all women identified individuals, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges and joys that come with not only motherhood, but any identity exploration. I am committed to assisting you and addressing the unique needs of your femininity with care and understanding. Through creative expression and mindful exploration, I strive to empower individuals to embrace their strengths, resilience, and conquer their goals.

I am committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment where diverse identities are valued, and where clients can embark on transformative paths to well-being. Whether you're seeking support for perinatal mental health, reproductive/birth trauma, sexual health, or other concerns, I'm here to provide a supportive and non-judgmental safe haven where you can explore and heal. My specialties also include anxiety, depressions, life transitions, relationship issues, polyamory, sexual exploration/kink, and more.

Experience

I've had the privilege of working in a multitude of settings, providing support to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. This diverse experience has allowed me to develop a deep appreciation and awareness of the multifaceted nature of human life. I bring expertise in the Open Studio Process, an art-making approach that integrates journaling, self-reflection, and creativity through intention setting and reflective witness writing. My training in sex therapy equips me to address a wide range sexual related issues such as intimacy issues, desire discrepancies, and more. My practice is centered on serving individuals and couples, utilizing expressive art and art-making as my primary healing modality.

I am a Clinical Fellow at Balanced Awakening, completing the final steps toward LCPC licensure. I have several years of clinical experience and I am currently accruing additional supervised practice to be eligible for the LCPC credential in Illinois.
