Hello, I’m so glad you’re here. Even reading this page is a meaningful step toward healing. I see you as the expert of your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, support, and tools that help you move toward the life you want. Together, we create a grounded, collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

I work with teens, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and the effects of trauma. Trauma can show up in many ways - feeling on edge, intrusive memories, trouble sleeping, or disconnecting from yourself or others - and these responses are deeply human. We’ll explore them with compassion while building stability, connection, and a greater sense of ease. My style is relational and collaborative. Whether you express yourself best through talking, writing, creativity, or slowing down to notice what’s happening in your body, we’ll find a pace and approach that feels natural to you. I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), polyvagal theory, and somatic interventions to support your healing. When you’re ready, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

somatic & talk therapy

Trauma and overwhelm often live not only in our thoughts but also in our bodies. To support this connection, I integrate somatic therapy with talk therapy, helping you understand what your nervous system is experiencing and why. Together, we explore gentle ways to calm and regulate the body - such as progressive muscle relaxation, breathwork, grounding, and polyvagal exercises that support safety and connection.

Somatic work is always woven naturally into our conversations and paced with care. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected, and steady as you begin to trust your internal cues and respond to them with more ease and compassion.

healing together: support for couples & families

I’m passionate about helping couples and families build healthier, more compassionate ways of relating. Relationships can bring up both comfort and hurt, and therapy offers a steady place to slow down, understand each other more deeply, and reconnect. I draw from relationship-focused frameworks, including ongoing training in Imago therapy, to help partners improve communication, explore the patterns beneath conflict, and move toward connection rather than reactivity.

Whether you’re feeling distant, stuck in repeating dynamics, or hoping to strengthen your relationship, my goal is to support a clearer, safer, and more emotionally attuned way of being together - one that helps you feel understood and supported by the people who matter most.

Experience

I have experience working with individuals of all ages from 6-50+ with varying backgrounds and challenges. Previously, I have worked in community mental health agencies, providing outpatient and school based therapy. This has helped shape my approach and appreciation for human resilience. Throughout my time in these roles, I have helped clients recognize unhealthy and abusive relationship patterns, develop self compassion and understanding, and practical tools to manage emotions.

Healing Trauma Through Empathy and Embodiment

Rachel shares her passion for helping clients heal from trauma by reconnecting with their bodies and finding safety in compassionate presence. Inspired by Peter Levine’s words, she reminds us that healing happens when we are truly seen, felt, and witnessed with empathy.

Guiding You Back to Your Inner Wisdom

Rachel believes that everything you need for healing already lives within you. As your therapist, she serves as a compassionate guide to help you reconnect with your own wisdom—much like yoga, therapy becomes a practice of self-awareness, balance, and inner alignment.

The Power of the Therapeutic Relationship

Rachel emphasizes that healing happens through connection. Research shows the relationship you build with your therapist is one of the strongest predictors of growth and change. Her relational approach invites open dialogue, authenticity, and empowerment throughout the therapy process.

Collaborative Therapy Rooted in Feedback

Rachel believes therapy works best when it’s a true partnership. She welcomes open feedback to ensure each session fits your needs—whether that means adjusting the pace, offering new challenges, or creating space for gentleness on harder days.
