ABOUT

I’m a clinical psychologist and the founder of Balanced Awakening, a multi-location psychotherapy practice. My work is grounded in depth-oriented therapy, nervous system awareness, and helping people understand the patterns that shape how they relate, feel, and move through their lives.

Balanced Awakening began as a solo practice in Chicago, created with the intention of offering therapy that felt more thoughtful, more connected, and more meaningful than what is often available.

Over time, it has grown into a team of over 30 clinicians across multiple locations, while staying rooted in that original intention — to offer work that is both grounded and deeply impactful.

Today, my role is centered on guiding the direction of the practice, supporting the growth of our clinicians, and continuing to shape the work we do — both within therapy and beyond it.

While I no longer see a high volume of clients, I remain connected to the clinical work and continue to work with a limited number of clients virtually in Florida.

MY APPROACH

My work is grounded in somatic, relational, and insight-oriented therapy.

I’m particularly interested in how patterns form — how they show up in relationships, in decision-making, and in the ways people experience themselves — and how those patterns can shift over time through deeper awareness and intentional change.

My clinical work has been influenced by approaches such as Imago Relationship Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices. Rather than focusing on a single modality, I draw from these approaches in a way that is responsive to each individual.

Beyond the Therapy Room

In addition to clinical work, I’m deeply involved in building and evolving Balanced Awakening.

This includes supporting our team of clinicians, developing training and supervision programs, and shaping the broader vision of the practice as it continues to grow.

I’m also the creator of the Balanced Awakening Collective, an online platform offering courses, practices, and resources designed to support continued growth and self-understanding outside of therapy.
