Maybe you’re trying to figure out who you are while feeling pressure from almost every direction. You might be navigating anxiety, changing friendships, dating, family expectations, college, a new career, or simply wondering what you actually want for yourself.

From the outside, it may seem like you’re doing fine. Inside, you might feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or caught in a cycle of overthinking and second-guessing. Growing up and finding your place in a world shaped by social media, constant connection, uncertainty, and rapidly changing expectations can be a lot to carry.

Therapy can be a place to slow down and hear yourself a little more clearly.

I’m especially drawn to working with Gen Z, including teenagers and emerging adults, as they navigate these transitions. Whether you’re figuring out who you are, adjusting to college or a new career, navigating friendships and dating, setting boundaries with family, or trying to build a life that feels meaningful to you, you don’t need to have everything figured out before you come to therapy. We can start wherever you are.

I also enjoy working with parents of teenage girls and new or expecting mothers. These seasons of life can bring changing roles, relationships, expectations, and responsibilities. Whether you’re trying to support someone you love or adjust to a new chapter yourself, therapy can give you space to pause and make sense of what you need.

Understanding Where You’ve Been and Who You’re Becoming

I believe we’re all shaped by our experiences, relationships, and the environments we’ve moved through. Sometimes we develop ways of coping, thinking, or relating to others that once helped us but no longer fit the life we’re trying to build.

One of the things I value most is helping clients understand how their past continues to influence the present. Together, we can get curious about where certain thoughts, emotions, and patterns come from, not to criticize them, but to understand them. When we understand ourselves more clearly, it can become easier to respond with compassion instead of criticism and make choices that feel more like our own.

Some days, that might mean making sense of overwhelming emotions or experiences. Other days, we might focus on practical tools, work through an important decision, or talk about something you haven’t quite known how to put into words.

Wherever you are, that’s where we’ll begin.

My Approach

I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative. You know yourself better than anyone else. My role isn’t to tell you who you should be. I’m here to ask thoughtful questions, offer a different perspective when it feels helpful, and help you recognize strengths you may not even realize you already have.

My approach is integrative, strengths-based, and tailored to your needs and goals. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness practices, restorative approaches, and systemic perspectives. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, so we’ll pay attention to what feels useful and meaningful for you.

Most importantly, my goal is to create a space where you can be honest about what’s working, what’s not, and what feels difficult to say out loud. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel understood, reconnect with yourself, and leave knowing yourself a little better than when you walked in. You don’t need to know exactly where you’re going yet. We can figure out the next steps together.

I would be honored to be part of that process.

Experience

My clinical experience has allowed me to work with individuals and families across a variety of settings, including Chicago Public Schools, outpatient and intensive outpatient programs, and private practice. Working with clients from diverse backgrounds and at different stages of life has deepened my appreciation for the uniqueness of each person’s story and reinforced the importance of tailoring therapy to their individual needs and goals.

Licensure

As a Clinical Fellow, I am gaining the necessary experience and supervision to obtain my clinical license (LCSW). I will consistently receive training and education to inform my practice and gain more tools for my clients. I am working under the supervision of Andrea Espinosa, LCSW.
