Therapy is an invitation to slow down, look inward, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been overlooked while surviving, adapting, or simply trying to keep up. You may come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward. My hope is to offer a space where you can pause long enough to notice what’s happening internally, respond with greater awareness and self-compassion, and begin moving toward a life that feels more authentic, grounded, and meaningful.

My approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens through safe, supportive relationships. You are the expert of your own experience, and your voice, pace, and lived experience will guide our work together. Therapy is not about forcing change or “fixing” who you are—it’s about creating enough safety and understanding to explore what feels stuck and move toward meaningful, lasting growth.

Burnout, overwhelm & coping

If you’ve been feeling emotionally drained, constantly on edge, numb, disconnected, or overwhelmed by the demands of daily life, you’re not alone. Burnout can build slowly through chronic stress, overstimulation, caregiving, perfectionism, systemic inequities, or simply spending too long pushing through without enough support or rest.

You may notice yourself turning toward coping strategies like scrolling, over- or under-eating, overworking, using substances, shutting down, or staying constantly busy just to get through the day. Rather than judging these responses, we’ll approach them with curiosity and compassion, exploring what they may be helping you manage and what your nervous system might be asking for underneath it all. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more regulated, present, and connected to yourself.

rebuilding self-trust

A meaningful part of therapy can be learning how to reconnect with your own internal wisdom and rebuild trust in yourself. Over time, this may look like becoming more attuned to your emotions, needs, boundaries, and instincts—and learning how to listen to those signals with greater clarity and compassion.

My approach is integrative and draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic awareness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we’ll work to better understand your experiences, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and move toward choices that feel more aligned with who you are and how you want to live.

Attachment & relationships

The ways we relate to ourselves often shape how we show up in relationships with others. In individual or couples therapy, we may explore communication patterns, attachment dynamics, conflict, emotional needs, and the ways past experiences continue to influence present relationships. Together, we’ll work toward building relationships that feel more intentional, connected, and supportive.

walk-and-talk therapy

Healing doesn’t always have to happen sitting in an office. Walk-and-talk therapy offers the opportunity to meet outdoors, move your body, or simply exist in a different environment while we talk. Being side by side in nature can support nervous system regulation, reduce the intensity of face-to-face conversation, and create a different sense of openness and ease within the therapeutic process.

This format can also be adapted to accessibility needs, meeting you wherever you are—whether in movement or stillness.

Experience

I have experience working across inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient levels of care, supporting individuals through a range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. My experience includes working with eating disorders, substance use concerns, mood-related difficulties, identity exploration, relationship concerns, and long-standing coping patterns. I also have experience supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and neurodivergent clients.

My training includes Internal Family Systems-informed parts work, support around technology use concerns, and Gottman Method-informed couples work.

Licensure

I am a Clinical Fellow at Balanced Awakening, completing the final steps toward LCPC licensure. I have several years of clinical experience and I am currently accruing additional supervised practice to be eligible for the LCPC credential in Illinois. I am supervised by Jaleesa Pirtle, LCPC.
