Life can feel exhausting when you're constantly overthinking, pushing yourself too hard, or trying to meet everyone's expectations. Whether you're navigating ADHD, burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from yourself, it's easy to end up overwhelmed and running on empty. You may look like you're holding it all together while privately struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, or a sense of being stuck.

Before relocating to Chicago, I spent several years in independent private practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I specialized in neurodiversity-affirming therapy for teens, college students, and young adults. I worked closely with clients navigating ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, identity exploration, trauma, LGBTQ+ concerns, and major life transitions, helping them better understand themselves and build lives that feel more aligned with their values and strengths.

I welcome anyone looking for collaborative, affirming therapy, whether that means improving executive functioning skills (and no, I’m not going to suggest a planner!), processing difficult experiences, strengthening relationships, or learning how to work with your brain rather than against it.

As a therapist, I primarily work from a Gestalt perspective, meaning we focus on understanding your unique experience and exploring what feels most emotionally relevant in the present moment. I’ve found that working through those moments often helps uncover larger patterns, emotional needs, relationship dynamics, and ways of relating that show up across different areas of life. This approach can be especially supportive for neurodivergent clients, as it’s often difficult to know what you “should” bring into therapy or how to prioritize everything happening internally at once. Together, we’ll make sense of your experiences in a way that feels grounded, affirming, and useful to your day-to-day life.

My style is collaborative & relational while still being direct. I integrate Gestalt therapy, CBT, DBT, skills-based interventions, and training in perinatal mental health while creating a space where you do not have to mask, perform, or have everything figured out beforehand. Once we get to know each other, I’ll help you notice patterns, avoidance, or ways you may be disconnecting from your own needs. Above all, I hope therapy helps you feel more connected to yourself and better able to build a life that feels calmer and more aligned with your values & goals.

Experience

Before joining Balanced Awakening, I spent several years in independent private practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I specialized in supporting neurodivergent teens, college students, and adults navigating ADHD, executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation, identity exploration, relationships, and major life transitions.

Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with clients who have spent much of their lives feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or pressured to fit expectations that never quite matched how their minds work. My practice became known for its neurodiversity-affirming approach, helping clients better understand themselves, build sustainable coping strategies, and create lives that feel more aligned with their values and strengths.

In addition to private practice, I have experience in school and clinical settings, including providing outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) services for adolescents and young adults. I also completed specialized training in suicide prevention and have supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and identity development across a variety of treatment settings.

Today, I bring that depth of experience to my work with clients in Illinois, offering collaborative, affirming therapy that honors each person’s unique way of thinking, feeling, and moving through the world.
