I specialize in working with neurodivergent clients, though I welcome anyone looking for collaborative, affirming therapy. This might include identity exploration, improving executive functioning skills (and no, I’m not going to tell you to buy another planner!), processing difficult experiences, finding new ways to communicate, learning how to balance honoring your capacity while still challenging yourself, exploring realistic ways to implement coping skills, or becoming more connected to your emotions and needs.
I understand that many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by expectations (both internal and external) and unsure of how to navigate a world that may not always feel built for them. My goal is to create a space where you can show up authentically, without pressure to mask, perform, or have everything figured out beforehand.
As a therapist, I work from a Gestalt therapy perspective, which means we focus on understanding your unique experience and exploring what is happening in the present moment. Sometimes this looks like talking through the thing that feels heaviest when you walk into the room, even if it doesn’t seem like the “most important” issue at first. I’ve found that working through those moments often helps us better understand larger patterns, emotional needs, and ways of relating that show up across different areas of life.
This approach can be especially supportive for neurodivergent clients, as it’s often difficult to determine what you “should” bring into therapy or how to prioritize everything happening internally at once. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to make sense of your experiences in a way that feels grounded, affirming, and actually useful to your day-to-day life.
My clinical approach is informed by training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gestalt Therapy, and perinatal mental health.
Experience
I have experience working across private practice, school, and clinical settings with teens, college students, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, suicidality, neurodivergence, emotional regulation challenges, and identity exploration. I completed my internship training at a suicide prevention clinic, where I later provided both outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) therapy for teenagers and college students.
I also worked within a high school setting supporting students with ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression who may not have felt successful in traditional academic environments. In addition, I have experience working in private practice with teens and adults navigating executive functioning difficulties, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
