First of all, I am happy you are here! I know it can be intimidating finding a therapist. I believe cultivating a positive therapeutic relationship is an important first step in fostering acceptance and change, and I hope to make this transition easier for you. In therapy sessions, I strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment for my clients, while utilizing collaboration and providing insight, empathy, and a sprinkle of humor when necessary. I hope to guide you in exploring and overcoming life’s hurdles while increasing self-awareness, wellbeing, and self-love.
I aim to individualize the therapeutic process to each client, utilizing a strength-based, relational, client-centered approach while integrating a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical and Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness techniques. Additionally, I try to understand how previous experiences can be impacting current experiences in an effort to ameliorate current distressing symptoms. Most importantly, I strive to meet each client where they are at, as every individual and their experiences are unique.
Experience
I am grateful to have had previous experience working with children, adolescents, and adults providing individual, group, and family therapy in an inpatient hospitalization setting and therapeutic day school. I’ve worked with individuals with a history of trauma, ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety, and those struggling with relationship and phase of life concerns. I am particularly interested in working with individuals facing attachment-related concerns and those who identify as Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA). My current doctoral research focuses on these areas, which deepens my commitment to supporting clients with these specific challenges.
Licensure
I am a graduate student in Adler University’s Clinical Psychology program. I am completing my practicum and externship hours with Balanced Awakening. I am supervised by Dr. Hannah Yang.
