“You don’t know what you got until it’s gone,” or maybe…you don’t know what you didn’t have until you have it – therapy! Taking the step to begin (or revisit) therapy can be stressful and nerve-wracking. It often requires bravery: a willingness to go within to explore one’s values as well as one’s struggles. However, it can be the key to unlock tools to live a more meaningful, authentic, and happy life.
Unwanted, painful thoughts and emotions often get in the way of connecting with the life we want for ourselves. In our work, I aim to create a warm, judgment-free environment where these experiences can be explored collaboratively and openly. You are not alone in your feelings, and I am proud of you for taking this difficult yet important step to help you feel more grounded, fulfilled, and confident.
Experience
In the therapeutic space, I draw from a number of evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), exposure-based therapies, and other mindfulness-based interventions to help clients develop healthy coping skills and work towards achieving their individual treatment goals. As a therapist, I am devoted to helping you feel empowered, explore what change can look like, and to work toward living a life in accordance with your values. I aim to meet clients where they are in their journeys while providing support and offering various perspectives to help facilitate change. I use compassion, humor, and empathy to create a nurturing space of safety and unconditional acceptance where, together, we can explore the twists and turns (and amazing moments!) that life brings.
