Welcome! If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, emotional ups and downs, health challenges, or patterns in your life that no longer feel supportive, you don’t have to go through it alone. Many of the clients I work with appear capable and put-together on the outside, yet internally feel exhausted, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. Therapy can offer a supportive space to slow down, feel genuinely understood, and begin creating meaningful, lasting change.

I work with young adults and adults (women and men) who are navigating anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, body image concerns, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. Many clients come to therapy feeling unsure how to move forward, despite having tried to manage things on their own. Through our work together, clients often begin to feel more grounded, emotionally balanced, and confident in their ability to navigate life with greater clarity, self-trust, and resilience.

I offer specialized support for individuals living with chronic illness including diagnoses such as autoimmune conditions, PCOS, or cancer. These experiences can feel deeply isolating, especially after navigating medical systems that leave you feeling unheard or misunderstood. In therapy, clients often report feeling more validated, emotionally supported, and reconnected with their bodies—developing compassionate coping strategies that help them regain a sense of control and resilience while managing health-related stress.

I also support individuals who identify as sober curious or are questioning their relationship with alcohol or other substances. Clients often come in feeling conflicted, curious, or unsure whether their current habits truly align with who they want to be. Using a harm-reduction and motivational interviewing approach, we explore these patterns without judgment or pressure. Many clients leave this work feeling clearer about their values, more empowered in their choices, and more confident creating a relationship with substances that feels intentional, balanced, and aligned with their overall well-being.

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and collaborative, with a strong focus on helping you feel safe, supported, and truly understood. I believe healing happens within a trusting relationship—where you don’t have to have everything figured out. Drawing from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, feminist-informed therapy, and EMDR-informed work (with ongoing EMDR training), I help clients better understand their patterns, regulate emotions, and develop practical tools that lead to real, sustainable change. Over time, clients often report feeling more emotionally balanced, connected to themselves, and empowered to make choices that align with their values.

Therapy is more than a weekly appointment—it’s an investment in yourself. My goal is to support you in building self-awareness, emotional regulation, and habits that help you live a more authentic, connected, and fulfilling life

Experience

I attended DePaul University and graduated in 2016 with a major in Addiction Studies. In 2020, I completed my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. I earned my CADC (addictions license) in 2009 and later, added Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) to my repertoire. I have 22 years of continuous sobriety under my belt and enjoy working with other women who are contemplating sober curiosity or even a full recovery (with total abstinence). I am a therapist and clinical fellow here at Balanced Awakening and look forward to meeting you virtually or in-person soon.

Licensure

I am a Clinical Fellow at Balanced Awakening, completing the final steps toward LCPC licensure. I have several years of clinical experience and I am currently accruing additional supervised practice to be eligible for the LCPC credential in Illinois.
